ENExactly 20 years ago today, the very first article was published on cognoise.de. And what else could it have been called? Of course, “Hello World!”
What started as a small website dedicated to IBM Cognos has grown over two decades into an extensive knowledge platform featuring more than 570 articles, practical tips, technical tutorials, and news.
Today, we’re celebrating our 20th anniversary with a complete relaunch of cognoise.de!
And this is just the beginning. We have a few more surprises in store that we’ll be revealing over the coming weeks.
But there’s already plenty to discover on the new cognoise.de!
What’s New?
A Modern Design Inspired by IBM Carbon
We’ve completely redesigned the website. The new look is inspired by the IBM Carbon Design System, offering a clean, modern, and intuitive interface.
Of course, cognoise.de now also provides a much better experience on smartphones and tablets.
Now Available in German and English
For the first time, cognoise.de is available in two languages.
Alongside the original German articles, selected Cognos tips are already available in English. More translations and new English-language content will follow.

We’re also strengthening our connection to the German-speaking Cognos community.
The new website provides direct access to the Cognos User Group e.V., bringing together Cognos users from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Privacy-Conscious and Technically Modernized
We’ve also made significant improvements behind the scenes, modernizing the technical foundation of the website.
We’ve removed Google Analytics and newsletter tracking. Embedded YouTube videos are only loaded when you explicitly choose to activate them.

The relaunch is just the beginning.
